Opposition demands the resignation of the Director of Albanian Public Television and calls upon citizens not to pay taxes
The opposition demanded today the resignation of the General Director of the Albanian Public Radio and Television (ART), Petrit Beci, of the Director of Information of the Albanian Public Television, Artur Kopani, and of the Director of the Steering Council of the Albanian Public Radio and Television, Agron Tufa, while calling upon citizens not to pay the taxes for this institution that has transformed into a propaganda outlet for the government. more
G99 protests against the hike of the energy price
Etjen Xhafaj (G99), accused minister Prifti of being a politician who instead of feeling indebted to the people, feels responsible to fulfill only the wishes and requests of Premier Sali Berisha. “This minister is not indebted to the citizens who voted him, but only to Berisha who gave him the minister chair, so he does not feel obliged to keep his promises but only to fulfill the requests and wishes of the Prime Minister,” said the G99 representative. more
100,000 gathered at the Albanian's opposition protest
This is probably the biggest protest held during these last years in Albania. It started this afternoon and will continue for at least next 50 hours. This makes it also a unique peaceful protest in the history of the democracy in Albania. more

G99 Protests in front of the Parliament Against the Agreement with Greece for Territorial Waters
Two activists of G99 held masks of Prime Minister Sali Berisha and of Minister of Foreigner Affairs Ilir Meta. They both cut a ceremonial cake with the map of Albania and of its territorial waters gave to Greece stamped on it, to symbolizing the cake of their power. more
Where is my vote?
The opposition protested in the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard, requesting the opening of ballot boxes and the recounting of votes in the eyes of all Albanians. G99 chair, Erion Veliaj, in his speech said that “the law clearly allows for recounting. If the ballot boxes are not open, this government – just as all the despotic governments in the world – will certify what we have been saying so far; that it is afraid of transparency and that this is an essentially illegitimate majority”. more
